Adventures in Grave Hunting

Established August 2004

This blog chronicles what I see and experience during my visits to local cemeteries in the Los Angeles area.  I also share news and photos about celebrity deaths and grave sites. Due to my focus on other time-sensitive projects, I am not able to update the site as often as I'd like to these days. However, please feel free to browse the archives for a variety of past articles on topics that might be new to you. I plan to start writing again here as time allows because this is the place where I can best illustrate what being a cemetery enthusiast is all about.

Grand View Memorial Park (dot) Info

Established May 2007

Grand View Memorial Park in Glendale, California, is a privately owned cemetery that has been closed for regular business since June 2006 after losing its state-issued operating licenses. I created this website in response to requests from families of loved ones buried there, and the general public, to provide information that was not being covered in the mainstream media. To date I've written about limited visitation hours, volunteer efforts, personal family stories, the class action lawsuit, restoration of the property and the on-going efforts to sell the business to a new operator.

Polyandrium Press
Established  January 2011

Rather than seeking out a mainstream publisher for the many book ideas that I've developed, I created my own imprint. My mission is to publish quality, entertaining and affordable non-fiction books that explore the death culture and remember the dead, specializing in the craft of grave hunting and the study of cemetery history. My first project, currently in the first draft stage, is the 125+ year history of Grand View Memorial Park; profits will be donated to a charitable fund to benefit the cemetery. -- Polyandrium (noun) a tract of land used for burials.
